Poe paid a visit to London in the late 1800's and the town has never been the same
A kiriban for *Poetic-Dragon using one of her stock which can be found here: [link] Ooopps. Forget to mention - painted in PS. 09/08/07 edit: Cleaned up the gargoyle and added more textures to the debris in the foreground. Check out *HiddenCaitastrophe based on this digipainting: [link] Comments
hey cool its come a long way since I last saw the first iteration, keep going wit it. I say up the detail in the foreground elements. The gargoyle looks a bit unfinished to me, his basic shape and look is solid jest put more refinements considering hes in the foreground. Stuff like more defined tonal values, skin textures, etc. The same can be said about the girders and debris. Putting a texture overlay on top of em should put more dirt on em to make em more beleivable and match the level of detail on the character. Good stuff D
The girders were a major pain. How do you get dull metal to look real? I didn't want to just add real metal texture (a photo) bec I want it wo be painterly. Grunging it up won't be a problem, but any tips on brushes or other methods to get the metal more real? -- Wit in a woman kills her sexual allure; therefore, she must decide whether to Take Lovers or Take No Prisoners |
